In short
- Your name, address, phone and email are used to deliver your order and talk to you about it.
- Payments are handled by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see your card or UPI details.
- We use the Meta pixel, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure ads and improve the site.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
What we collect
When you order: your name, delivery and billing address, phone number, email, what you bought, and payment confirmation (not the card or account itself). You give us this at checkout, which runs on Shopify.
When you browse: the pages you view, the product you add to the cart, the device and browser you use, your approximate location from your IP address, and how you reached us (for example an Instagram ad).
When you contact us: whatever you include in your email or message.

Shopify sets its own cookies on the checkout pages. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the shop still works, but your cart will not be remembered.
How we use it
- To take payment, pack, ship and track your order, and to handle replacements and refunds.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To measure which ads and pages lead to orders, so we spend less showing ads to people who will not want the bottle.
- To prevent fraud and meet legal and tax obligations.
We only send marketing messages if you opt in at checkout, and every message lets you unsubscribe.
Who it goes to
- Shopify hosts the store and checkout and processes orders on our behalf.
- Payment partners used by Shopify process your payment.
- Courier partners receive your name, address and phone to deliver your parcel.
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google and Microsoft receive browsing events for ad measurement and analytics, under their own privacy policies.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data. Some of these providers store data outside India under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually eight years. Messages are kept while they are useful to support you. Analytics data is kept for the periods set by each provider.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent for marketing, and nominate someone to act for you. Email illegalsoupp@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify it is you first.
Children
This shop is not meant for children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be flagged on the site.
